Clear terms for every trail.

1. Agreement and eligibility

By using Lingo Bear, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be able to form a binding agreement where you live. An adult account holder is responsible for any supervised family use and for the subscription attached to the account.

2. Your account

Sign-in is provided through Google or Apple. Keep your provider account and devices secure, use accurate information, and tell us promptly if you believe access is unauthorized. You are responsible for activity under your account unless prohibited by law. Each specific Google or Apple account is a separate Lingo Bear account. We do not combine accounts, subscriptions, history, or favorites across sign-in providers or provider accounts.

3. The dictionary service

Lingo Bear provides language explanations, contextual examples, saved conversations, favorites, and linked word cards. Generated answers can be incomplete or wrong and are educational information, not professional, medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. Check important information with a qualified source.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, interfere with security or operation, access another person’s account, evade limits, scrape or resell protected output at scale, submit unlawful or harmful content, probe nonpublic systems, or use Lingo Bear to violate another person’s rights. We may limit or suspend activity needed to protect users and the service.

5. Subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation

Pro is offered at US$19 per calendar month or US$99 per calendar year unless a different price is displayed before checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled, on the same calendar date each period; where a month is too short for that date, renewal falls on its last day. Taxes may be added where required.

You may change plans at any time through the customer portal. Moving from monthly to yearly takes effect immediately: unused time on the monthly plan is credited against the yearly charge, and access continues without interruption. Moving from yearly to monthly takes effect when the paid year ends; the yearly charge is not refunded.

Stripe processes payment and provides the secure customer portal. You may cancel at any time through that portal. Cancellation stops future renewal and access normally continues through the paid period. Except where law requires otherwise or we expressly state a refund, charges are non-refundable. Any refund we issue returns through the original payment method and may take time to appear.

6. Your content and product rights

You retain rights you have in the questions you submit and grant us permission to process them only as needed to operate, secure, and improve your experience. Lingo Bear and its licensors retain rights in the product, software, brand, illustrations, design, and curated materials. These terms do not grant a right to copy or distribute those assets outside normal product use.

7. Third-party services

Google, Apple, Stripe, cloud infrastructure, and AI processing are provided by third parties under their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for a third party’s independent service, but we remain responsible for our own use of providers as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may improve, replace, or discontinue features and may update these terms. We will provide notice when required. You may stop using Lingo Bear and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violation, legal requirements, security risk, or harmful use.

9. Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted operation or that every generated explanation is accurate. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where limits are permitted, our aggregate responsibility for claims relating to paid service will not exceed the amount you paid for Lingo Bear during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
